To my Transformations family,
After more than a decade of sweat, hard work, laughter, challenges, accomplishments, and countless memories, I have made one of the most difficult decisions of my life.
It is time for me to retire from kickboxing and begin the next chapter of my life.
For eleven years, Transformations Kickboxing has been so much more than a gym to me. People came through our doors looking to become stronger, healthier, more confident, or simply looking for a place where they belonged.
I have had the incredible privilege of being part of so many of your lives and watching you grow through so many different phases of life. I've celebrated your victories, encouraged you through difficult days, watched you push beyond limits you didn't think you could, and shared in so many milestones along the way.
Transformations has been a huge part of my life, my identity, and none of what Transformations became would have been possible without the amazing people who have been part of this journey.
To my staff - past and present thank you. Thank you for believing in the vision, showing up day after day, giving your time and energy, and caring about our members. Thank you for teaching classes, cleaning floors, answering questions, encouraging members, filling in when needed, and doing all of the things behind the scenes that often went unnoticed. Most importantly, thank you for bringing your own personalities, passion, and heart into this place. Each of you left your mark on Transformations, and I am incredibly grateful for every person who helped make it what it became.
As I step away at the end of the year; I am also hoping to find the right person to take over Transformations and carry it forward. My hope is not simply to close the doors, but to find someone who sees the value in what has been built here and wants to continue the community, relationships, and spirit that have made Transformations special.
I would love nothing more than to see this place continue to be a home for people to continue helping people become stronger, healthier, and more confident, and to continue creating the kind of friendships and memories that have meant so much to me.
While I am ready to slow down and enjoy this next phase of my life, leaving Transformations behind is going to be emotional. There will be a lot that I will miss. But when I look back, I don't see just a gym. I see the friendships. The celebrations. The struggles. The TRANSFORMATIONS. The laughter. The early mornings and late nights. The people who walked in as strangers and left as friends. And I feel incredibly lucky to have been part of it.
To every member who has ever walked through our doors, and to every staff member who helped make this place what it is:
Thank you. From the bottom of my heart.
Thank you for trusting me. Thank you for believing in Transformations. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your journeys. And thank you for giving me more memories than I could ever put into words.
I am proud of what we built together, and I will always be grateful for the people who made it possible.
Here's to the next chapter—and hopefully, to a new chapter for Transformations as well.
With an incredibly grateful heart,
Dawn Arsenault
