Dworshak State Park is located on the beautiful Dworshak Reservoir, a 50+ mile reservoir created by Dworshak Dam on the North Fork of the Clearwater River near Orofino, Idaho. Freeman Creek Campground features 105 campsites including hook up sites, non-hook up sites, and tent sites, as well as 4 cabins for rent. We have a boat launch for easy access to Dworshak Reservoir as well as a swimming area

, picnic shelter, and archery range. Please contact us about our beautiful Three Meadows Group camp facilities that is available for all of your large gatherings; this facility can accomodate up to 100 people in our cabins and feel free to use 2 of our RV spots with electric and room for tents. We have a beautiful lodge with an industrial size kitchen or feel free to use the large charcoal BBQ! Big Eddy Marina offers boat slip rentals for the season as well as selling fuel on the water!

UPDATE WEDNESDAY 9/2/2026:
The sewer pump has been repaired, and all facilities are open and avaliable.

🚨 Freeman Creek Campground Update🚨

Due to a broken sewer pump, the day-use restroom, fish cleaning station, dump station, and shower house at Freeman Creek Campground will be temporarily closed.

We are actively working to get the issue repaired and these facilities back up and running as quickly as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding.

We will provide updates as we have more information.

UPDATE: Big Eddy will most likely will NOT be open today, the two rangers that are on are currently dealing with an issue at Freeman Creek Campground. They will try to get the Marina open if they can get that issue resolved. The Marina will be open tomorrow.

Due to ongoing seasonal staffing issues, Big Eddy Lodge will not be open till noon tomorrow, Saturday August 29th.

**It’s that time again, folks!** 🍂

With school starting this week, we’ve said goodbye to our seasonal staff here at the **Big Eddy Marina**, which means we’re transitioning to our fall staffing schedule.

Here are our marina hours for the next couple of weeks, including **Labor Day Weekend**:

📅 **Friday, August 28:** 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
📅 **Saturday, August 29:** 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
📅 **Sunday, August 30:** 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM

📅 **Monday, August 31 – Thursday, September 3:** 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM
📅 **Friday, September 4:** 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM
📅 **Saturday, September 5:** 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
📅 **Sunday, September 6:** 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
📅 **Monday, September 7 – Labor Day:** 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

⛽ **FUEL REMINDER:** Fuel will be pumped **no later than 30 minutes prior to closing.**

As we transition to limited staffing without our seasonal employees, we recommend giving us a call ahead of time if you know you’ll need fuel.

After Labor Day, we run the park with a crew of just **four employees**, and occasionally things come up that prevent us from having the Big Eddy Marina staffed during its posted hours.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we make the transition into our fall schedule. ❤️

Hello Fellow Dworshak Reservoir Lovers!! 💙

We are getting ready to make the annual transition at the Freeman Creek Boat Launch as the reservoir continues to drop.

The handling dock is still in the water for now, but with the decreasing water levels, we expect it to be out of the water within the next few days.

The launch is still usable, BUT please launch at your own risk. Conditions are changing quickly, and boaters should use extra caution as water levels continue to drop.

We’ll keep you posted as conditions change!
