ETWP PLAYER OF WEEK: Anna Robles
Age:11 Loudon County School student
Anna started water polo at age 5. She joined her brother Oliver and coach/mom 10 u team. She competed with 10 u team as well went to her first Junior Olympics in 2021 at age 7. Biggest highlight was her scoring a goal at that tournament.
Anna is strong and skillful player. She can eggbeater/ thread water like no other.
Even though we don't have same water polo intensity in TN she is able to keep up with older players from different teams.
We are very proud of Anna and looking forward to see what future brings for her!

Age:14 Loudon County student
Oliver is been playing water polo since 5 years old under coach Petra( coach/mom) as well coach Jason in Bakersfield, CA.
Oliver was part of 10u and 12 u Junior Olympic team before moving to TN in 2021.
Despite not having ACTIVE youth water polo in TN Oliver help start East Tn water polo along with his dad,mom and sister in 2022..In 7th( 2023) grade Oliver play HS water polo with brand new established HS program Marble City WPC.
He is been up for it all and we are very proud of him!
Fum fact; Oliver as well his sidter are dual Citizen( American 🇺🇸 and Czech 🇨🇿)
Oliver's and Anna's gradpa Petr was also water polo player, coach- club and national Czech team as well referee. Before his passing in 2014 he was active Czechoslovakian water polo member for 47 years.

James Taylor age 16, Knox county student
Along his sister James been also oringal member of ETWP. He is originally from England but start playing water polo in Sweden.
James progress in past 3 years been growing. He is very strong shooter and strong defender. When he puts mind and hard work into practice he can be very successful!
James also plays with Marble city Hs team.
We are very proud of James and looking forward into future wp and life journey!

Lilia Taylor age 12, Knox county student

Lilia is originally from England( her and her family also lived in Sweden prior moving to USA)
Lilia has been with our club since day one and been progressively getting better. She is very hardworking driven when she puts her mind into it. Her biggest improvement has been becoming stronger swimmer and her shots are getting on point.
Lilia brother James also plays water polo and sometimes he may be motivation for her to get even better! No matter what it takes we are very proud of Lilia and her dedication to water polo!
We are looking forward to see what her future brings!🤽‍♀️❤️

Endi Miklos
Age: 13 Loudon County student
Endi is one of the original member and been playing since 2022 when club originally started.
Endi is originally from Hungary and let me tell you that it shows! ( Hungary has one of the best water polo in the world).
He is also one of few players that like to switch from goalie to field player and he does great job in both!
We are excited to see what future in water polo brings for him. 🤽‍♂️❤️

Mason Woods: age 13
Loudon County Student
Mason started water polo last year with little swimmming backround and Let me tell you with his hard work and dedication he's been getting better with every practice!
He is great listeners/ learner and he is becoming one of the top shooters on the team.
We can't wait to see how far he takes in water polo( as we belive he can dominate)!
We are very happy to have him as part of our team!

Loudon county student

Charlee started water polo with East Tn Club in 2022. Her entrance to this world wasn't the easiest as she was born prematurely,but that do not stop this girl from fighting!
Charlee took on water polo with full force and she getting better every day! She also joined swim team and her progress is amazing!
Charlee is true testament that anything and everything can be overcome when you have will power to fight!
We are very thankful and proud to have her on team! We are also excited to see what future brings for her❤️🤽‍♀️

Happy 2 year anniversary to our club! We started small but over the years we had 60+ kids ages 7-17 try out water polo.
Prior to 2022 there was No youth water polo in East Tn.
It's still building process as it's challenging when it comes to pool availability, competition in and out of state for younger players but we are not giving up. We see the growth around us and excited that one day we will be able to have more than just few options.
With that said regardless the obstacles we are doing what we love the and most importantly keeping it affordable for everyone be able to play!
Come gives us try!!

Saturday Coach Petra lifeguard recertification,( last picture)
Sunday , Last practice of spring season, relays, shooting and little reward for hard work past 12 weeks!!!
Proud of all East TN wp players( ages range 8-16) that put time and effort!!

When one tells you it will take at least 5 years and it will be difficult to start, believe in yourself. We maybe small but we have heart in right place which is in continuing to grown love for water polo in East TN.
Since East TN wp club been established in Nov 2022 we had approx 55-60 kids who tried/ played and/ or continued since we started.
Definitely it's team effort and I appreciate it all!!!🤽‍♂️🤽‍♀️❤️

Coaching/helping/ mentoring is important skill to have in and out of water!
