South River alumni Liam McVety is playing in the national Collegiate Rugby All Star game for the Midwest Barbarians. He is the starting scrum and #25.

2023 has been an interesting season so far. We didn't have enough players to field a team. Post COVID recruiting has been tough. This is not unique to our team. We were in a league of 7 teams and now there are four. Our remaining players joined Eagan Rugby and have had a warm welcome from the coaches and players. We hope to have enough players to field a 7s team in the summer. In the meantime, we are cheering our boys on as they continue to develop their rugby skills. Here's a shot of our SRS boys from the early season dome practices.

Eastside Banshees awarded our own Liam McVety the 2022 Banshee Academy Player of the Year. Banshees have been a huge part of our Sentinels history, and we are grateful for the guidance and encouragement they have given our club.

Coach Dan was cheering on the Eastside Banshees Rugby Club today. The Banshees had a loss to the Chicago Blaze club, but finished the season with only one loss in the Championship game. South River's own Liam McVety was playing for the Banshees. We love that the Banshees invest in our club, and that Coach Matt, Coach Dan and Coach Ficklin have strengthened the bond between these clubs.

Our own Liam McVety will be repping the South River Sentinels Rugby Football Club with the Eastside Banshees in the Midwest Championship! Check out the live stream if you want to see some of the action.

This weekend, the Chicago Blaze Rugby Club will not only host the , they will be playing in it as well. They will be facing off against another side who's been just as dominant as they have been this season - Eastside Banshees Rugby Club !

The match will begin live at 1:00 PM CT on Field 1 and be streamed live on Midwest Rugby Union and Next Level Rugby YouTube channels.

Reunited! Alumni Brendan played a match at the U of Minnesota with his team, Iowa State. Alumni Ricky showed up, and so did current players Liam and Q (not pictured). So proud of our alumni! Brendan played great, and it was so good to have some of the boys come out to support him.

Jayson and Liam have been representing the Sentinels in the men's league as part of the Eastside Banshees Rugby Club . Both Eastside squads won today. Jayson played for the Wailers and Liam played for the Banshees. Coach Dan and Coach Matt are playing for the Wailers.
