You don’t need fancy gym clothes or the latest headphones to get a good workout. What’s worth the money is whatever actually helps you get active, stay consistent and take care of your body.
Here are 5 things we think are worth investing in:
1. A membership to a gym you’ll actually use.
The fanciest gym isn’t worth much if getting there is such a hassle that you never go. Convenience, access and finding somewhere you actually enjoy working out matter.
2. A few sessions with a personal trainer.
Especially when you’re starting out. Learning proper form, getting comfortable with the equipment and building a routine around your goals can give you a solid foundation to keep going on your own.
3. Electrolytes.
When you sweat, you lose more than just water. Electrolytes help replace minerals like sodium and potassium that are lost through sweat and support hydration - especially during longer, harder workouts or hot NC days
4. Gym childcare.
Sometimes the thing standing between you and your workout isn’t motivation - it’s finding someone to watch the kids. Having childcare right at the gym can make getting that workout in a whole lot easier.
5. An easy protein option.
Protein gives your body the building blocks it needs to repair and rebuild muscle after a workout. Getting enough throughout the day matters, and protein shakes, powders or bars can be an easy way to help you meet your needs.
At the end of the day, spend your money on the things that make movement work for your life.
