Huge weekend for the Blackhawks! 🖤🩵🩷🦅

Boys Varsity went undefeated at the NTBA SC State Championship Tournament and brought home the GOLD chip! 🏆

Shoutout to our 9th grade boys for winning their championship while down key players, true team effort. Proud of the growth and heart from all our teams: 6th, 7th, both 8th grade squads, and Girls JV.

We win or we grow, and this weekend, we did both. 🏀🙏 All Glory and Praise goes to God. Thank you Jesus for your goodness.

We want to give a huge THANK YOU to Coach Corey Weaver for his incredible support of our team this season!

Through him, we were blessed with a generous $1,000 donation from his niece’s company, Black Girl Sunscreen. Their support truly means so much to us and helps our organization’s goals.

Black Girl Sunscreen is a Black woman-owned brand founded by Shontay Lundy in 2016, created specifically to provide sun protection for people of color. Their products are designed to go on completely clear without leaving a white cast, while also hydrating and nourishing the skin. The brand was built to promote sun safety and representation in skincare.

We have the best players with the most heart 🩵 Grateful to all the parents and players who made our car wash fundraiser a success today and to all those in our community who donated!

One thing about being a Blackhawk is that we are truly family.

This is our 4th season where not a single player has been turned away because of funds. When there’s a need, we come together and make it happen.

Thank you to every hand that helped make today’s last-minute car wash happen. Being part of something like this is a blessing. So proud to be a hawk!

We'll be walking through everything you need to know for the upcoming season and leaving plenty of time for questions. We want every family walking out of that room feeling informed, connected, and ready to go!

We want to remind everyone that Player Interest Forms are due no later than January 31st.

📌 Key Dates:
• Interest Forms Due: January 31
• Formal tryout invitations & communication sent by: February 1
• Tryout weekend (surveying families):
🗓️February 14 or February 21

At tryouts, we will have the season schedule finalized and ready, along with fundraising plans for those selected. As in past seasons, funds raised by each player are applied directly to their individual season costs with many families covering well over half of their season fees through fundraising. Many players had a $0 season after their calendar fundraising!

Please remember that Brunswick Blackhawks is a non-profit organization. All fees go strictly toward operational expenses, and everyone involved serves from the heart to keep costs as low as possible.
