What an unforgettable home opener for our Cherry Valley Post 443 American Legion Softball Team!
From the dugout to the stands, the love and support we felt was overwhelming. Post 443 has welcomed this team like family, and that's exactly what it feels like.
After the game, our catcher Grace said to her mom, “I was so nervous when the game started, and I’m never nervous but all our post family was there and I just wanted to make them proud.” That says it all.
This team was built on passion, pride, and community, and we’re so thankful to everyone who showed up, cheered loud, and believed in what we’re doing. We’re proud to wear Post 443 across our chests and represent this incredible Legion family.
A huge thank you to Coach Jess, who’s been there side by side with Sue since day one helping bring Legion Softball to life your dedication means the world to these girls and to the league. 💛🖤
And another big shoutout to Mark McCue, who handed Sue a brochure a few years ago and said, “Can you do this?” That one little moment has led to something amazing.
