We wrapped up a full week of Athletics last week. Here is a recap on how our teams did!
Varsity Field Hockey went 2-1 on the week. Earning wins over Wilson and Moravian Academy while suffering a 1 goal loss to Pen Argyl.
Jr High Field Hockey had two games this past week while they came up short against Moravian Academy they ended in a tie in their match vs Wilson.
Varsity Football earned a 35-0 victory over Pocono Mountain West in a game that started Thursday evening and was ultimately finished Friday morning after being suspended.
JV and Middle School Football took on Panther Valley. JV earned a 20-6 victory while Middle School suffered a loss.
Golf played 4 matches and continue to improve. They earned their 2nd victory on the year over Wilson while suffering setbacks to Tamaqua, Moravian and Palisades.
Boys Soccer - had 3 games and unfortunately came up on the losing end in each as they took on Minersville, Bangor and Moravian Academy. The boys continued to fight and outscored Moravian in the 2nd half of this last game!
Girls Soccer went 1-2 on the week. Kicking off their week with a win over Tamaqua but unfortunately came up short in their matches vs Bangor and Moravian Academy. The girls certainly play hard and their last game against Moravian was exciting with 11 total goals scored!
Middle School Soccer went 1-1 on the week. Earning a very exciting 1-0 victory over Moravian while suffering a loss vs Bangor earlier in the week.
Varsity and JV Volleyball both went 2-1 on the week. They swept their matches vs Catasauqua and Salisbury. Their loss was to perennial league power Notre Dame Green Pond. Although they suffered a loss that evening they made it exciting and continued to battle!
Cross Country - At Wednesday’s meet our boys beat all 3 teams we scored against- Jim Thorpe, Palmerton, & Northern Lehigh. Our girls beat both Palmerton & Northern Lehigh (but lost to Jim Thorpe).
At the Northampton Invite, Joshua Cathers finished in 5th place, Grace Cathers finished 14th, Anna Hawk finished 15th and Claudia Pagotto took 17th. 7th grader Damian Desmond medaled in 19th place out of 149 middle school guys.
