We are lease #1527 We lease 160 acres from Hancock Forest Management. We are Unit 36215. We lease 40 acres from Southern Timber Properties, LLC.

Log Book is in box - Deer Season kicked of today!

Check out deer the day it is taken.
We have a number of new members so be courteous if stand location issues arise.

Bucks must have 4pt on one side- (unless hunter is 13y or younger.)

3 bucks/3 does by state regs and tag it before you move it!

Orange Hat must be worn by ALL (except in stand).

Call me directly on any concerns.

Message to members:
Check your mailboxes for a letter regarding this years lease renewal.

The board set this years fee to $640.00.
Fee is due by May 15th.
Important change related to deer Quality: TCHC is now 4 point on one side- (effectively 8 point or better).
The Buck of Choice has been revoked/removed. However - Children and guest of members that are 13 year old and UNDER, may take one lesser buck as part of the members total. (The board would like to encourage the taking of a doe rather than a lesser buck even in this case.)
The fine for taking a lesser buck has been reinstated.

We understand the changes may not be well received by all, but the majority would prefer the opportunity to take better quality buck deer and know a doe taste just like a spike...

Last day of the 2020 season! Here is data from Harvest Report;

(That's 10 less than last year! Likely related to fewer members planting and feeding-and hunting for various reasons.)
Bucks: 9
Does: 17
Only 4 8-points were taken. Looks like mine measured out best, but he certainly was not the best buck roaming the lease. Pictures from members caught at least 5 bigger/better bucks that I know of-but they were apparently allergic to daylight.
From the majority of members, we certainly dented the hog population! It was noticeably lower this year!

Just a reminder on rules:
3 bucks, 3 does, by state law.
Bucks must have 4 Pts on 1 side.

But- 1 buck can be called buck of choice —this is supposed to cover accidental nubs or spikes once—-it is not intended for folks to shoot any buck.
NO guest on any opening weekend of any season.

Check out deer on camp log in the same day as take.
Hunters Orange cap MUST be worn to and from stand and any hunt on ground. Can be removed in stand.

Please be selective, and safe.

Food Plot and Feeders are active- and so are the hogs!
Being rather overpopulated, we need to take a few. However, I would like all to avoid wanton waste and remain ethical.

Not sure how this will go over- but I'd like to see if this post could be used to offer hogs taken to any other club member who would like one. In other words; my freezer is full too.... If TCHC members would like to add a comment with name and CELL number - anyone who has the opportunity to take one, could give it to those on the list.

If no member objects - we can offer excess to non-members as well.

So- if you want the next hog- post a comment.

MESSAGE TO MEMBERS:
Lease fees are due May 20th. Only 8 more days!

Any unpaid spots will be replaced with new members prior to May 29th. There are quite a few applicants in line/file.

TCHC has had quite a few people asking about joining. We will be starting working on our new season around the end of April. Until then, we won't know whether we will have any openings for membership. Membership is on a first come, first serve basis. If you are seriously interested in becoming a member, please send your address in a MESSAGE to this page and I will send you an application. This doesn't mean you will get on, only that when you return your application, I will have it on hand until we know if we have openings, at which time I will call the phone # you have on the app to see if you are still interested.
