Located in the western edge of Lexington County, near historic Batesburg-Leesville SC, Ponderosa Country Club offers challenging golf and a family environment. Amenities include a championship golf course, Olympic pool, restaurant, banquet facilities and friendly members. The course is situated on 214 acres in a rural setting with stunning views and golf events for all handicap levels. The Pro Shop offers members an attractive selection of seasonal sportswear, golf equipment, golf supplies, as well as golf lessons. The golf course offers separate men’s and women’s facilities. Events for men and women are sponsored by the men’s and women’s golf associations. The course is one of the best maintained courses in the state with an award winning golf superintendent and staff.

🚧⛳ BIG THINGS ARE HAPPENING AT PONDEROSA! ⛳🚧

Our bunkers are getting a makeover! Work is beginning on holes 8, 11, 13, 16, and 18, with shaping expected to wrap up by the end of this week. Next week, crews will install new drainage and fresh sand to bring these improvements to life!

Temporary greens may be necessary during construction, but we’ll do our best to keep play moving and minimize interruptions. Please be mindful of the crews and equipment working on the course.

A little construction now means better bunkers and an even better golf experience ahead! 🏌️‍♂️🎉

Just a friendly reminder that Ponderosa Country Club will be closed Tuesday, July 28 through Thursday, July 30 as we complete our course aerification.

During this time, both the golf course and the kitchen will be closed.

Aerification is an important part of maintaining healthy turf and ensuring the best possible playing conditions for our members. We appreciate your patience and understanding while this necessary maintenance is completed.

Please note that the Ladies Club Championship has been rescheduled and will now be held Friday and Saturday, July 10–11.

The course will be closed until 12pm. After that time we will assess the conditions and see if we will be able to open today. The bunkers need to be pumped out and there are limbs and branches all over the course.

The Ladies Club Championship First round will be moved to Saturday and Sunday. The Tee times for Saturday will be the same as today's times.

This is a reminder that today at 2:00 PM is the deadline to register for the Club Championship, which begins with the Ladies' Championship on Friday, June 19.

Ladies' Divisions
Club Champion Division – Red Tees
Senior Division (Ages 60–74) – Teal Tees
Super Senior Division (Age 75+) – Orange Tees
Please note: To compete for the Ladies' Club Championship title, participants must play from the red tees.

Men's Divisions
Club Champion Division (Age 59 and Under) – White Tees

As the weather heats up, many golfers like to use fans in their carts. If you are using a fan that attaches to the windshield, we kindly ask that you place a towel underneath the attachment to help prevent scratches on the new windshields.

Also, while the greens have recently been punched, it is still very important to repair ball marks. The punched holes will heal quickly, but unrepaired ball marks can cause lasting damage to the greens.

We appreciate everyone’s cooperation and attention to these matters. Thank you!
