LLady Cats vs. Avoyelles

The Lady Cats got on the board quick in the first inning scoring 6 runs. In the second inning the Lady Cats scored 16 runs sealing the deal against the Avoyelles Lady Mustangs.
Kynli Coffman earned the win in the circle giving up zero hits and zero runs over three innings. The started struck out seven and walked none.
Offensively the Lady Cats collected 19 hits in the game. Aubrey Rowlands and Coffman each collected three hits on the night. Coffman led the way with 5 runs batted in. Koko Gamble had 4 runners batted in on two hits. Briawna Frusha, Avery Bealer, Kaedyn Busby, Kadence Reibold, and Adelyn Pearce each collected multiple hits.

Leesville Varsity Wampus Cats Breeze Past Hornbeck

Leesville Varsity Wampus Cats easily dispatched Hornbeck on Friday, 12-0.

Leesville Varsity Wampus Cats got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Kaedyn Busby doubled, scoring one run, Ava Brown singled, scoring one run, and Avery Bealer doubled, scoring three runs.

A hit by a pitch extended the Leesville Varsity Wampus Cats lead to 7-0 in the bottom of the second inning.

Leesville Varsity Wampus Cats scored five runs on five hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Brown singled, scoring one run, Bealer drew a walk, scoring one run, Kadence Reibold drew a walk, scoring one run, Kynli Coffman tripled, scoring one run, and Briawna Frusha drew a walk, scoring one run.

Coffman earned the win for Leesville Varsity Wampus Cats. The righty gave up four hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out seven and walking two. H Mitchell took the loss for Hornbeck. The hurler went four innings, surrendering 12 runs on nine hits, striking out one and walking 11. Kortlynn Gamble threw one inning of no-run ball for Leesville Varsity Wampus Cats in relief. The pitcher allowed zero hits, striking out two and walking one.

Bealer, the number seven hitter for Leesville Varsity Wampus Cats, led the way with three runs batted in. The outfielder went 1-for-2 on the day. Brown led Leesville Varsity Wampus Cats with two hits in two at bats. Frusha paced Leesville Varsity Wampus Cats with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, amassing 11 walks for the game. Gamble, Coffman, Frusha, and Brown each stole multiple bases for Leesville Varsity Wampus Cats. Leesville Varsity Wampus Cats stole 20 bases in the game. Leesville Varsity Wampus Cats turned one double play in the game. Leesville Varsity Wampus Cats were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Aubrey Rowlands made the most plays with 10.

Mitchell went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Hornbeck in hits. Mitchell stole three bases. Hornbeck stole six bases in the game. Hornbeck were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Mitchell made the most plays with three.

All remaining dates for summer workouts are canceled.

Tryouts will be held on Wednesday, August 7th, from 3-5 PM.

To participate in tryouts, athletes must have a valid LHSAA physical on file or bring it with them.

Please bring a water source, bat, gloves, and cleats.

Today, July 22, 2024, due to the pending weather, we will not be doing any fieldwork. I will be at the football fieldhouse for weight lifting at 3:30 PM. If you plan on attending, please let me know.

Additionally, depending on field conditions, we may need to adjust the tryouts and parent meeting. Please be on the lookout for updates regarding this.
