The Crappie fishing has slowed a bit with all of the snow birds having gone back north for the summer. Still a lot of fish to catch year round if you can put up with the heat. Want to thank all that purchased Ron's Zip Jigs over the past season. Also, I have suspended my wholesale sales operations for now, as the wife and I plan to build a home in the North Carolina mountains. I just wont have enough time to be in NC building the cabin and tying jigs at the same time over the summer. I will have jigs for sale on Ebay, with Free Shipping, when I find time to tie them. Thanks again for all of your support over the years.

Just a shoot out to my followers that the jig shop will be closed for the next two weeks. Both an elbow injury and travel will take me away from doing what I enjoy for a couple of weeks. Ill get to it on Feb 6th. In the mean time, check us out at your favorite tackle shop.

Wanted to give a shout out to all my customers for a great season. Especially from some of the folks up North that are just getting to learn about Ron's Zip Jigs.

I hope you all caught a lot of specs over the winter. I am going to close the shop for two weeks as I am remodeling with new tile floors and other upgrades. I should have i t back together the second week of May or around that time; and then it's tie,tie, tie for next season. Let me hear from you if you think there is a color combo that I am not making, but is a must. I will certainly entertain the idea of adding it to the collection. The Crappie bite has slowed quite a bit here in Central Florida and so has the jig business. Time to reflect on a rather busy season of tying jigs. Need to find a way to fish more this fall when the specs start back up. I think I will give it one more try on lake Eustis, Fish have been quite scattered the last couple of weeks, but maybe they have started to re group again before going to their summer locations. They have to eat all year long.

Getting ready to offer Ron's Zip Jigs and Ron's Fish Bites in a new Clam Shell packaging. 6 Jigs per pack. Takes up less space on your merchandise racks and for those that want more than one jig of a certain color , its a great way to buy in bulk. Be on the look out, they are coming soon. Just waiting on the printer to get me the insert cards. I'll post a picture of them once I have all the pieces in place. Thanks for the feedback from many asking for this packaging. Oh and check out ebay, i will be offering a limited number of jigs there as well.

42 degrees this morning in Leesburg FL on Lake Eustis, about time it felt a little like fall around here. Feels like fishing weather.

Finally got out the jig shop to do a little fishing. Best bud Mike and I went to Lake Woodruff on Friday 3.13 and caught a nice mess of fish. An orange fish bite was the ticket on this day. The wind howled but we manages to net 13 fish 8 of which were 2lbs or better. Largest fish was 2.09 lbs. Yum Yum

Water temp in Lake Eustis is about 61 degrees, catching fish around the lily pads and cattails. Should be getting real good next moon as water should reach spawning temp 63-66 soon.

Good Luck to all of you that will be fishing in the Crappie USA tournament on Crescent/Dead Lake Fla. There are some pigs in that lake if you know what I mean. Hope you catch some.

October is here and I am expecting that the crappie will be schooling soon. Talking to locals in the area some nice strings are already being caught in the smaller lakes on the Harris chain and up North in the Gainesville area.
