The Baseball Forge The Baseball Forge offers top tier baseball and softball instruction to athletes of all ages. My name is Kevin Hale.

I have played baseball since I was four years old and continue to play to this day. I played High School Baseball for Gahanna Lincoln High School before going on to play two years of at the University of Rio Grande before finishing my college career at Oakland University. After I finished at Oakland I played professionally for BBC Grosseto in Grosseto, Italy where I was part of the 2007 FIBS Natio

nal Championship Team. From 2002 until 2021 I taught baseball at the Big League Baseball School in Worthington, Ohio where I also trained growing up under former Major Leaguers John Pacella and Dan Briggs. While there, I taught players from all walks of life and all ages the finer points of the greatest show on dirt. It has been my great honor to spend so much time in my life with the sport that I have grown to love so much.

FIRST PITCH OF THE GAME! Huddy Bear and I have worked a lot on looking for spots and not pitches. Look for a certain spot and hit the ball when it gets there. You may also notice the serious leg hang... a favorite touch of mine. The idea of needing a short quick stride to be quick to the ball is a fallacy. Timing is king ⏱️

Pistol was good when she came to me. Hard stop. But she was upset that she struggled getting to inside pitches. We have worked long and hard on looking for spots and gearing up for that spot. Her mom sent me this today and I was elated! She got her bottom half out of the way and let the barrel hunt. Great pop and no hook.
