Please welcome Coach Josh Floyd, who will be joining our Triangle family.

Coach Josh is a 3x Team Georgia wrestler, AAA Georgia State placer, and a national qualifier at Kennesaw State University. In addition he served as a Georgia High School Association official, bringing a well-rounded understanding of the sport.

He holds a PhD and is the author of ‘The Hardy Brain’, with a strong focus on mindset, discipline, and long-term athlete development.

As a father of three youth children, he’s fully invested in this program and our athletes.

We’re excited to have him on board please help us welcome Coach Josh!

Triangle Grapplers Families,

We want to take a moment to recognize two individuals who have given an incredible amount of time, energy, and heart to our wrestling community.

After more than two decades of service, Coach Rene and Coach Anthony are stepping away from their roles with Triangle Grapplers. Their impact on this program and on the many athletes and families they’ve invested in over the years cannot be overstated. The standard, culture, and foundation they helped build will continue to shape what we do moving forward.

We are grateful for their commitment, leadership, and the countless hours they poured into developing not just better wrestlers, but better young men and women. Please join me in thanking them for everything they’ve done for this community.

As we transition, there will be no practice this Thursday.

Session 3 will begin Monday, March 30th, and we will resume our regular practice schedule at that time.

What an incredible day at Triangle Grapplers Wrestling Club! 💪🤼‍♂️

A huge thank you to Joey Silva and Bryce Rodgers for pouring your time, talent, and experience into these kids. Your passion for the sport and for developing young athletes truly showed today.

To all the coaches who showed up, helped, encouraged, and invested — thank you. This is how wrestling traditions are passed down the right way: hard work, discipline, respect, and heart.

And to the kids — you showed up ready to learn, ready to work, and ready to get better. That’s something to be proud of. Keep grinding. The lessons you learned today go far beyond the mat.

Grateful for days like this, strong mentors, and a sport that builds character as much as it builds champions. God bless the hands that teach and the hearts that lead. 🙏
