Sheet Pan Chicken Sausage and Harvest Vegetables, from 😋 Boy was this a great tasting recipe with less than 500 calories and 37g of protein. Once your chicken and veggies are fully cooked (about 25 min) top each bowl with a balsamic drizzle and fresh shaved Parmesan.

If that is what you think, I am here to prove you wrong 😉

Women need strength training, especially after the age of 35. An hour on the treadmill will only do so much. We need to start lifting heavier weights to see a change in our body. And with increased muscle you will see a direct correlation to an increase to your metabolism.

So go lift heavy!!

As for the best laid plans….😂

Here is my final Tip to help begin a journey to a healthier lifestyle:

4. The last suggestion I would give is be easy on yourself. We all have the best laid plans, but sometimes things come up that derail those plans. With any health journey, there will always be bumps in the road. The quicker you can identify the bump and try to get back on plan the better you will be. You don’t need to spend 3 days beating yourself up about that half box of cereal - you ate it, that was yesterday and now tomorrow is a new day.

Hoping you found my 4 tips helpful. And as I always say - strive for progress not perfection. Be good to yourself but take slow steps to leading a healthier, happier lifestyle. I promise - you won’t regret it!

lol! Had a lot going on yesterday and wasn’t able to post. So let’s just say I’m improvising:-)

To continue on with my initial tips for starting to lead a more healthy nutrition and exercise lifestyle, tip #3 is actually the most important:

3. Don’t starve yourself! Period. Sure if you significantly decrease your calorie intake you will absolutely lose weight; initially. But depriving your body of calories consistently will only backfire - not only will you get to a point where you will want to “eat” again and gain back the weight, but by depriving your body of calories what you are doing is slowing your metabolism and forcing your body to store nutrients/fats rather than process these foods.

This tip is no joke - a vast majority of the women I work with have significantly deprived their body in the past. It can take months to re-train your body to metabolize food on a regular, consistent basis. Believe me when I say “you need to eat to lose weight”!

New Tip Tuesday!

Continuing on with a few suggestions of how I would begin my journey to live a healthier lifestyle:

2. One of the first things I would recommend to someone who is trying to get healthy is to increase your water intake. Increased water can help keep you full, increase your energy level, assist with your digestion and help your skin look more hydrated. You initial goal should be 100 ounces of water a day, but if you can work up to 120 ounces then even better!
