Teaching my oldest daughter the Biu Ji form for the first time tonight.

I had a chance to spend some more time with my daughter last night teaching her the Biu Ji form. I thought I would share with everyone.

If you don't know much about the system of Wing Chun. Biu Ji is the 3rd empty hand form and traditionally speaking it was not taught to outsiders. Meaning you would have to be a disciple of the system to learn the form and you would have to have a certain level of fighting abilities.

Some Sifus still teach in a traditional way like this. These days things are more open but the trade-off is, the Sifus tend to make it more difficult in most cases to reach the Biu Ji level.

Thanks to an awesome person who made a donation to the school last week. We now have brand new training mats for the school! We just got them officially installed and we reorganized the room a bit.

Last year I trained on these exact same puzzle mats at a local school during a seminar. I've been wanting them ever since. We've honestly been wanting new mats since we moved to our new location.

These new mats are awesome and we're looking forward to several years of training on them!

If you change just 3 movements in this video, 3 counter attacks. This is the same as Wing Chun depending on how you present the information but all those movements are in the system.
