Lazy Sundays are still HOT and DELICIOUS when you have Royal Oak Charcoal Hickory Briquets on hand!

Yesterday was a fairly quiet Sunday around the house, but we still needed a good dinner, so we called our friends Joel and Katie from Meat Rushmore BBQ to join us. We put together some Hawaiian Chicken Skewers with rice and grilled veggies. The chicken was marinated in pineapple juice, garlic, soy sauce, and a few other ingredients, and then seasoned with the Meat Rushmore Sweet Rub. Grilled over Royal Oak Charcoal and finished with Momma’s Hot Honey. Dinner served!

Been using the Royal Oak Charcoal charcoal-&hickory briquettes a lot at the house and the flavor and aroma is phenomenal. Highly recommend!

Who needs a pool body when you can have a poolside sandwich instead?

This weekend at the Smoke 'n Magic compound, we grilled up some ridiculously easy and delicious poolside sandwiches with the help of our trusty Lump Charcoal. Grilled pistachio-studded mortadella skewers, a pesto-slathered crusty baguette, and topped with pickled giardiniera - the ultimate trifecta of tastiness! Finish off with a light drizzle of Olive Oil and LUNCH IS SERVED!

Had a great time with my buddy Joel from Meat Rushmore BBQ in Iowa. We had a solid cook given that we split the work and collaborated all weekend. OH NUTZ!

It's a crossover event! We teamed up with DamnFine Beef & Swine Competition BBQ Team to cook Cruisin and BBQin in Hampton IA as Oh, Nutz! BBQ. This was a great chance to get out and cook, while sharing the camaraderie, stories, and good times of a BBQ competition with good friends. OK, maybe a few secrets were shared too!

One thing we didn't have to discuss, is what would fuel our fires. Royal Oak Charcoal is all we ever use and it burned hot and clean as always!

We Frankensteined some recipes, and closed 4 solid boxes, ending up

1st chicken🏆 🏆 🏆
9th Prairie Fresh Ribs
14th pork
11th brisket

That all added up to a respectable 4th overall, not a bad day, especially when you include the 8 breakfasts we had, thanks to the generosity of some of our fellow cooks.

The competition schedule may be a little lighter this year, but don't mistake that for slowing down. 🔥 Our fires are still burning just as hot.
Tonight's lineup on the PK Grill over blazing Royal Oak Charcoal : perfectly charred octopus, crispy wings, and shrimp kissed by the flames. Different proteins, one fire, endless flavor.
We're spending a little less time chasing trophies and a little more time chasing the perfect cook—but the passion for live-fire cooking hasn't changed one bit!

Two World Cup nations. One slice of grilled sourdough. 🔥🥖

In honor of the **FIFA World Cup Final** between 🇪🇸 Spain and 🇦🇷 Argentina, we put two iconic national dishes head-to-head over the fire.

🇪🇸 **Spanish Pan con Tomate** on the left
🇦🇷 **Argentinian Provoleta with Chimichurri** on the right

Both were seasoned with **Man Meat BBQ**, grilled over Royal Oak Charcoal briquettes, and served on perfectly grilled sourdough.
