I've been pulling some fat ones from deep water so far this week! The bass fishing in this part of the state is hard to beat if you want action. The sizes are good too.

I have fished Moosehead Lake and places in the area for most of my life, but this was my first time targeting bass on Moosehead itself. Wow, what a fishery! We only fished in areas where you could see bottom, and the fish were there. The fish are scattered, and it takes a lot of casts, but you will catch big smallmouth here. The scenery is breathtaking, and the water is so clear. We rarely saw another boat. We had such a memorable trip. We will be back.

I would like to fish Moosehead sometime in the next couple of weeks. It's a small window. I want to target a possible 6lb smallmouth bass. Let me know if you have any interest.

This really should help at those lakes that do not have a dock, and the many unfortunate times I fish by myself.

I put a lot of bass in the boat yesterday. There are lots of fish shallow, but the bigger fish were still hanging on the edges waiting for the water to warm up a little. Water temps ranged from 49-51 degrees.
