Double R Genetics

Double R Genetics Showpig/Breeding Stock operation in the heart of the country. We are a family run showpig operation in North Central Kansas.

Double R Genetics started as a 4-H and FFA project through high school and is increasing in size and quality every year. We are currently running around 75 head of sows that farrow year round. The majority of the sows are crossbred with the exception of 20 purebred yorkshires, 1 hampshire, 1 spot, and 1 berkshire. The main focus is breeding for December through March litters to market for county,

state, and national shows. We do offer a limited amount of breeding stock on an availability basis, but plan on having a wide selection of replacement females in the future. Beyond that, we strive to put the best genetics on the market into the hands of our customers and are always willing to help out. Feel free to give us a shout anytime, we would love to work with you.

Each year, we look forward to hosting our annual on-the-farm auction in March and connecting with local families passionate about show pigs. However, this year we’ve made the tough decision not to hold our auction.

Unfortunately, our conception rates this season were not as strong as we hoped, and we simply don’t have the number of pigs needed to host the exceptional sale you’ve come to expect from Double R Genetics.

We take great pride in the quality of our offerings, and while this decision wasn’t easy, we believe it’s the right one to ensure we continue to uphold our standards.

We appreciate your understanding and continued support. Please stay tuned for updates as we plan for the future, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions or need assistance with your show pig needs this year.
