⚾️ State champions celebrated! 🏆

At the Russell County School Board meeting on Tuesday, August 4, the Lebanon High School Pioneers baseball team was recognized for winning the 2026 Class 2A State Championship!

We are incredibly proud of these student-athletes, coaches, and everyone who supported them throughout this remarkable season. Their hard work, dedication, teamwork, and sportsmanship brought great pride to Lebanon High School and all of Russell County Public Schools.

Congratulations, Pioneers, and thank you for representing our school division so well! ❤️🖤

When you hear Richlands Blue Tornado Football, what’s the first thing that comes to mind?

Is it a player? A game? A play? A season? A coach? Or maybe it’s just the feeling of Friday nights in Richlands.

We know about some of the legends that have worn the Blue Tornado uniform in our lifetime.

🏆 The unforgettable 2006 Class 3A State Championship team that rallied to defeat Rockbridge County 29-28, led by legendary head coach Greg Mance, with stars like Caleb Jennings and Justin McCracken.

Then came the 2008 squad with names like Shane Wicks and Austin Fuller.

And who could forget the Strong brothers and the Johnson family, highlighted by one of the best to ever wear the blue and white, Devon Johnson?

But that’s just scratching the surface.

Richlands football is built on decades of tradition, toughness, and pride. Every generation has its own stories, heroes, and unforgettable moments.
