Hemlock Field Archers Hemlock Field Archers is the largest archery only club in Central Pennsylvania.

From the humble beginning of just a few members and a small clubhouse grew a well-respected club of over 250 members.

Whether you've always wanted to try archery, are just getting started, or already shoot and want to improve your skills, Hemlock Field Archers' Women's Archery Night is for you!

Join us for 8 Wednesday evenings of archery, learning, and fun with other women.

⏰ 6:30–7:30 PM
πŸ’² $20 for all 8 weeks

🏹 Bow & arrow rental: $15 for all 8 weeks

No experience needed! Experienced archers will be there to help you get started and work with you as you improve your skills.

The Pennsylvania Game Commission is again asking the public to report sightings of all wild turkeys they see this summer. The annual Wild Turkey Summer Sighting Survey runs through Aug. 31.

Wild turkey sightings, which aid in population management, can be reported through the Game Commission’s website here: https://pgcforms.pa.gov/TurkeySightingSurvey/.

Today, more so than ever, our state game wardens encounter violations for more than game law infractions.

Recently, this was the case when State Game Warden Scott Brookens encountered an individual using the public range State Game Land 242 in rural York County.

Warden’s standard procedure at our public ranges is a license check, as all individuals using state game lands range are required to have either a valid hunting license or range permit on their possession.

However, during this encounter, the individual possessed neither. Warden Brookens proceeded to run the individual’s identification to verify he was not wanted for other violations.

This check unfortunately revealed that the individual had indeed had past infractions which classified him as a felon and not able to possess fi****ms. Warden Brookens handled the violation and filed the appropriate charges which were recently adjudicated. The defendant was sentenced to 5-10 years in prison.

This is just another example that there are no β€œroutine” checks in law enforcement.
