Live Well: Mind Matters is coming up! Join us on June 27th to hear Dr. Andrea Lee, Clinical Asst. Professor, Department of Neurology at KU Medical Center, as she presents new therapy information for Parkinson’s-related complications. Dr. Lee will be speaking at 12:30 p.m. We'll also have a variety of local companies providing their health and wellness services. This is a free event and open to the community!

Thanks to everyone who came out to our 2nd Annual Open House & Picnic on June 7! The rain didn't stop us a bit and we had over 400 friends, family and supporters join us for delicious food from The Golden Scoop and Two Guys And A Grill, great music from DJ4K, mini golf from Mini Golf on the Go-Kansas City's Portable Mini Golf that Comes to You and a vintage car show from Vince Garrett and his Pit Crew. Guests got to enjoy the new space, take tours, meet our staff and learn about the programs and services we offer at the PEWC.

Special thanks also to The Foot Spot, Johnson County Management, Ranch Mart Shopping Center, Leawood Police Department and the Regnier Family.

For those wondering... The open house is still on! The rain is supposed to stop here in the next 20 to 30 minutes. Even then we have a large number of outdoor tents and a number of the activities are indoors. So bring your family, and friends down and enjoy some food from two guys and a grill and ice cream from the golden scoop.
