Spring skiing doesn't get much better than this! ⛷️

This past week we sent some of our Skin Protector Balm tins out on a trip with for some spring laps in the mountains, and what a stunning place to ski.

🚁 Heli skiing gets you into some of the most amazing locations, and it's important to protect your skin at high altitudes and on bluebird days on snow.

Sunscreen so good, you'll want to take it everywhere 🥾 🛶 🧗‍♀️

Re-applying sunscreen often, means you'll go through A LOT on every trip.

🧴 So why not just bring a gallon jug of our Sport Sunscreen Lotion, SPF 50 with you on all your adventures?!

🌴 Where would you bring your gallon jug of sunscreen with you?

Ok, we're joking about carrying a gallon jug around, that's just crazy. BUT, we do make a gallon jug, and not just for April Fools Day.

We do sell a gallon version with a pump, and it's perfect for having at your lake house, for summer camps, at golf courses, and at public pools!

🧗 But we don't recommend bringing it with you on hikes, climbs, or paddles. Maybe to the beach, but that's even pushing it...

Spring conditions, we've got you covered ⛷️

☀️ Spring skiing means all different types of weather, sometimes all in one day 🌨️

Which means packing the right gear makes a huge difference in a good day out of feeling very unprepared.

Here's what to pack for end of season ski days:

🧥 Lots of layers - It can be sunny and warm one minute, and then snowing the next. Make sure to pack layers for all types of weather.

💧 Extra water if your touring - You'll be working hard and getting sweaty, which means you need extra hydration on the uphill.

🎿 Avy gear if your touring - Spring means snow melt, new snow on top of old crust, and wet conditions, all of which can mean avalanches. So if your touring in the spring, you still need to wear a beacon and pack your shovel and probe.

🧴 Sunscreen - Warmer days mean more exposed skin that you need to protect from the sun. All of our sunscreen lotions, tins, and spray are perfectly sized to fit easily into a pack. Don't forget to reapply often!

🍫 Lots of snacks - Do we even need to talk about this? The more the better, and bring some to share.

Celebrating Jessie Diggins and her newest Crystal Globe! 🌐

This was her third consecutive World Cup title, and what a way to round off her season and career, thanks for letting us be a part of it!

✨️ Over the weekend Dermatone got to be in Lake Placid to celebrate Jessie and watch her final World Cup race, and it was such a treat to see her be awarded her fourth Crystal Globe.

We love you Jessie and can't wait to see what new things you do with your retirement.

One last World Cup for Jessie Diggins and we are cheering her on from the race in Lake Placid, NY today and all weekend!

Today starts the COOP FIS Cross Country World Cup Finals in Lake Placid, which is also Jessie's finale to an amazing career.

No matter the outcome, we are proud of you Jessie, and all the hard work and dedication you have put into this sport and your career!

✨️ If you're in Lake Placid this weekend, come get glittered up at the Dermatone booth. We will have a glitter station and product sampling, so come say hi 👋

There's nothing quite like being in places that make you feel small 🏔️

And when you're out on glaciers and in big mountain ranges, your skin needs a little extra TLC.

The biggest mistake most people make in the winter...

Forgetting to use an SPF lip balm when out in the snow, be it on the ski hill, for a walk around town, or a winter hike.

👄 Your lips need SPF too!
