UPDATE:

The Cascade Kodiaks have had a strong showing so far at the 1A State Track & Field Championships with several athletes earning medals and top finishes against the best competition in the state.

Leading the way for the boys was senior Ezra Week, who captured the 1A State Championship in the Long Jump with a jump of 22’ 5¾”. Teammate Evan Ragsdale also earned a medal in the event, placing 5th with a jump of 21’ 2½”.

On the girls side, freshman Greta Broom placed 5th in the 1600 Meter Run with a time of 5:12.58. She also placed 6th in the 800 Meter Run with a time of 2:20.24.

In field events, sophomore Bennett Werdell earned a 4th place finish in the Girls Pole Vault after clearing 10’0”. Sophomore Cyan Worden placed 6th in the Girls High Jump with a mark of 5’0”, while freshman Skye Blue also scored points for Cascade with an 8th place finish after clearing 4’10”.

Additional state competitors for Cascade included Eli Webb who placed 10th in the Boys Pole Vault with a vault of 12’0 and Samantha Crossley who placed 15th in the Girls Long Jump with a jump of 14’9 1/4”.

The girls 4x200 Meter relay finished in 6th place and will be bringing home medals.

Today we would like to recognize our Cascade Kodiak Track & Field athletes who have qualified for the 2026 WIAA State Track & Field Championships in Yakima taking place today through Saturday.

Representing Cascade this weekend are:
Ezra Week, Evan Ragsdale, Eli Webb, Greta Broom, Zoie Burpee, Ella Henscheid, Skye Blue, Samantha Crossley, Cyan Worden, and Bennett Werdell.

These athletes have worked incredibly hard all season, and we are very proud of their accomplishments. Please join us in wishing them the best of luck as they begin competition at the State Championships today.

Congratulations to the Cascade Kodiak‘s boys soccer team for being the district 5 1A champions! They beat Cashmere in penalty kicks to take the district championship. Way to go Kodiaks!

We would like to recognize the Cascade Kodiak student-athletes who were selected as Wenatchee World NCW Athletes of the Week during the 2025–2026 school year.
