Kitty kitty kitty. I won’t have a turkey left on the place if they don’t open a season for these things soon. Honestly I love to see them because I think they’re a beautiful part of nature but they have no natural predators and they’re professional killers. Young turkeys don’t have a chance and with raccoons overpopulated from lack of hunting there’s never a great hatch anymore. Then the short numbered poults have to deal with the cats. On top of that you’ve got fox and yote trying to get a meal as well. I can remember when 100 turkeys in a field was normal. Now if your farm has 10-20 turkeys you’ve got people knocking the door down trying to hunt.
