Great opportunity for 6th - 8th to get in some quality mat time. LHHS has a mat, and we understand will be adding a wrestling program in AY 22-23, so we need to start growing now!

Good evening Panthers. Unfortunately we do not believe we will start running practice again locally until the high school has a program and we have consistent access to facilities. We’re encouraging everyone to look at LCP for in season and Heart and Pride for off season wrestling. It would be great to keep the LH kids together to some extent. Below is a recent email from Coach Lynch at LCP, please let us know of you have any questions.

“Good morning,

This year is going to look very different from what we have ever done before. We are and will continue to do our best to work with kids to make sure they have success on the mat.

Our practice location will be in the Martial Athletes Dojo located at 600 S Bell Blvd Ste. #7, Cedar Park, TX 78613.

We are very limited on the number of kids that we can have in the room at a time. I am attaching a Google Form to this email that we would like filled out as soon as possible. We will build practices with a limit of 10 kids at a time. We are going to do our best to match kids up by, age, size, experience and we will also take into consideration siblings. This will also help us limit exposure to the possibility of Covid-19. We will also ask that parents stay outside if they want to stay and observe practices.

Our season will run for 3 months. 1 Dec 2020-28 Feb 2021. Our ultimate goal is to make it possible for kids to get 2 practices a week that are 1 hour in length. We will put the majority of our focus on wrestling skills.

We still do not have a clear idea on what competition will look like. We are hoping that we will be able to set up some scrimmages and possible dual meets. The schools are not allowing use of the buildings this year and that seems to be a statewide issue. Definitely a Central Region issue.

We will open the registration on 16 Nov 2020.
