Today, after 14 incredible years, we are closing the doors of The Iron Den Gym.
This is not an easy post to write, but it is one filled with deep gratitude.
To every member who ever trained here, thank you. You did not just belong to a gym, you helped build a community. The Den was many things over the years. What started as a hardcore bodybuilding gym evolved through SO MANY different eras, locations, logos, and rebranding. The gym grew into a space that welcomed competitors, everyday people, moms, dads, beginners, and some of the most elite athletes alike. Each phase shaped what The Iron Den became.
We coached thousands of people through strength, confidence, discipline, and life. We supported competitors on stage and helped produce IFBB pro’s. Were fortunate enough to have helped nurses, plant workers, nasa employees, and teachers during lay offs/government shut downs at no cost. Supported military, veterans, and first responders, stay strong for their demanding jobs. Stood together through hurricanes, handed out over 1,000 meals after Harvey and opened our doors to those who needed shelter for weeks after. We even housed a member who became homeless due to job loss. All that BEFORE surviving through a pandemic. This place was never just about lifting weights. It was about people.
The culture inside these walls and the ones before it were built on respect, work ethic, grit, and showing up for one another. That does not disappear because a building closes.
This chapter is ending but this is not goodbye. We are still coaching. We are still here. This is simply the closing of a chapter and the beginning of what is next. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for 14 unforgettable years. The Iron Den Gym was special because of you.
