BEST IN T&S RIVER ROD TEST – Mag 10’ #3/4
Trout & Salmon magazine reveals in June 2014 issue the test results of their quest for the best all-rounder10’ #4 trout rod for river fishing. The testers Mr. Glyn Freeman and Mr. Clive Mitchelhill have both been fishing for more than 40 years and have operated their fly-casting tuition and fishing businesses in Cumbria/UK for the past ten years. Both are AAPGAI certified casting instructors and part of the assessment team for the future instructors. Their challenging task was to test and compare 10’ #4 rods from 16 different manufacturers in search of the best possible tool for a river angler using variety of techniques including dry-fly, nymphs and Spiders. The testers wrote:” There were no “duff” rods.” And then continued: “However, two rods performed so well that we felt they deserved our vote: the Vision Mag at £249 and the Scott Radian at £649.
