Hello, All!
I know you are all in need of info about the 2021 CTR. I have been working on it while also addressing a health issue, so I have been distracted from sharing my planning progress!- my apologies!
What I do have for you is that Alaska's 2021 NATRC ride will be held at Sunderland Ranch, as planned last year.
* Ride dates are July 23rd- July 25th.
*Open Division, Competitive Pleasure, Novice Divsion,
Leisure Division, and Distance Only will be offered!
* Our judges are: Dr Kay Gunckel- vet judge,
Dr Suan Dent- leisure Division judge, and Lin Ward
serving as horsemanship judge.
* As planned last year, meals are included for riders,
volunteers, and judges ( of course). Please know that
Covid safety precautions will take place for meal
prep. Hand sanitizer will be offered in designated eating
area. Face masks will not be required, but encouraged
if you feel it is a benefit to your health. Everyone is advised
to be respectful of the choices of others regarding this.
* A Covid release form is part of this year's ride entry
packet and is required to be signed when you sign up
for the ride.
* There have been some rules changes since last year.
Please make yourself firmiliar with them. You can find
the rules on the NATRC web site.
* Please note that the junior rider age limit has been
lowered to age 8! I hope we see a lot of juniors this year!
I am very excited about this!
* The ride is limited to 60 riders, inclusive of all divisions!
Please sign up early if you want to participate! Sign up for
the ride will be available as soon as I iron out some
specific management time-line details regarding
divisions - I will post on this page as soon as ride entry
is open!
I have been working on a new merchandise logo for the
2021 Lazy Mountain Trail Adventure CTR! Please know any
T shirts and sweater shirts you order will have a new logo, different from previous rides. I have also been working on making other merchandise available to purchase soon. I have custom CTR magnets and Slate coasters that will be making a debut in the next two weeks. I am currently working on tumblers with an Alaska CTR logo as well as flat back water buckets. These items will be available for purchase here on FB soon and will also be avaliable to purchase at the ride! ALL FUNDS FROM THESE PRODUCTS SUPPORT THE CTR THIS YEAR AND IN FUTURE!
There will also be some pretty awesome raffle prizes!
With how busy I am with the CTR itself, my every day life, and the reality that I live 3.5 hrs outside the MatSu Valley area, I will not be planning a CTR training day/weekend. I am sorry if this is disappointing to anyone. Please understand the hours and finances I already have in the CTR itself.
I am really excited for the CTR to take place this year! Having it at the Sunderlands Ranch will enable you to ride some amazing trails, hang out with like- minded people and friends, enjoy some great food, and hopefully make some awesome memories!!!
Thank you all for your patience!. I really hope to see you at the ride, or even meet you before then!
Please remember that the NATRC web page at NATCR.org is a great place to find all sorts of information. Their videos on YouTube are also very helpful wether you are new to the sport or are a veteran.
