Do you have a BIG Fish fly rod!? Introducing the Rift 10 ft 7 wt… It is a BIG fish magnet!💪

Check out what one of our customers said about her Rift 10’ 7 wt rod

“My new favorite fly rod! I have the RIFT 10 ft 7 wt and it is now dubbed my “big fish” rod. I’ve caught pike, salmon, steelhead, and catfish with it, along with one super greedy 14” crappie on a pike fly. It launches the heaviest, wind-resistant flies with ease, and roll casts like a dream. The warranty is the best in the business so I don’t have to worry about breaking the rod on monster fish. Highly recommended!”

💥Streem Tip Tuesday💥 A trick to confirm your fly choice…

Keep this in mind! As the water starts to warm and flows bump up in the spring, a lot of the bugs get flushed out of the bottom of the rivers, this causes the fish to start actively feeding again! To discover what these bugs may be at your spot, flip over a couple rocks and do your best to match the food source! Select your fly based off what you see in this order 1) Size 2) Silhouette 3) Color. Check out what we found when we tried it!

There is usually a small window of time on every river that is prime time pre-runoff before the rivers start to blow out and fishing is difficult. This is different timing for every river. Here are 3 steps to help you determine when to time it perfectly!

* 1) Find the river you want to fish on the USGS website. Check out the river flows in the spring for the past 5 years and recognize the time at when the water level begins to peak. See what this trend is like. This will give you a starting point and an idea on when water flows will increase and blow out.
* 2) Heavy runoff is usually dependent on snowpack. A Heavy snowpack year tends to delay the increase in flows and vice versa if the snow pack is low. Do a google search for your area mountains snow pack.
* 3) Get a feel for what the temps are by looking at the past 7 days and the next 14 days. This will help you also get a feel for if the peak runoff will start
