PSM Barbell

PSM Barbell We are one of the oldest powerlifting clubs in Utah. We are a powerlifting club that is based out of Roy, UT. We train 4 times a week.

We have a morning group, and an evening group. We are lead by Jason Gibson. Jason has a long list of accomplishments and achievements his most notable one is his 1025 # squat. 2024 Relentless Minnesota is in the books. We sent three athletes who raised over $2,500 which helped raised over $50k across 31 athletes. Our athletes had an awesome weekend building relationships with our HopeKid families strengthening their bonds!

Hey all!!

It is Relentless time!!! August 10th in M is fast approaching!

We have three lifters this competing year Laura Kramer, Brandon Bunn, and Tractor Baptist. They are raising money for HopeKids! HopeKids is an amazing NonProfit that puts on a calendar of free events for children with life threatening conditions and their families so they can just be kids! They can spend time with like kids and families going through similar struggles. These kids get to be free from Dr appointments, from procedures, and tests. They get to be kids!!!

News of Joel Sims passing is impacting many across Utah Strength Sports. We recently had the pleasure of competing with him this past weekend at FitCon as we have done for many years. Joel was a teammate to many and a friend to all who knew him. He was a Highland Games athlete, a strongman competitor and a powerlifter. PSM Barbell wants to send our condolences to his family, teammates, and everyone impacted by this devastating loss. Our hearts go out to you all during this difficult time.

Special thanks to our team for donating their time:

Some of our team had the pleasure of volunteering at the Night for Shine event the Genesis Project puts on in Ogden, Utah. The Tim Tebow Foundation puts this event on every year around the world recruiting churches to facilitate the evening. The event is put on for special needs individuals. They are able to dress up fancy, feel amazing about themselves by being pampered extra special and come party having fun with great food, fun activities and dancing they love to participate in. At the end of the night all buddies are crowned kings and queens as a great ending of a fabulous evening!! Thank you so much PSM Barbell for setting up to help this amazing mission and giving back to our community.

This event is just one of many we do to help less fortunate. Night to Shine, Relentless MN charity lift, helping veterans, and working with Angels Among Us, a local nonprofit that puts on events to give back to the community are just a few areas we lend a hand at.
