City of Lawton offices and facilities will be closed Monday, Sept. 7, in observance of Labor Day.

🏊 The Lawton Aquatic Center WILL be open Labor Day for its final day of the 2026 season! Public swim is available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

🗑️ No trash collection Monday. Area 1 will be collected Tuesday, Sept. 8, and Area 2 on Wednesday, Sept. 9. Areas 3 & 4 remain on schedule.

📚 Lawton Public Library locations will be closed Saturday, Sept. 5, and Monday, Sept. 7.

Walk with Ease combines walking, education, stretching, strengthening, and motivation to help reduce arthritis discomfort and improve overall health.

Tai Chi can help improve balance, strength, flexibility, mobility, sleep quality, and confidence while reducing the risk of falls.

As many of our seasonal lifeguards head back to school, the Lawton Aquatic Center will transition to a revised schedule through Labor Day, Monday, September 7.

Monday-Fridays: 7-9 a.m. | Lap Swim & Senior Water Walking/Fitness

Saturdays: 8-9 a.m. | Season Pass Holders Early Entry & 9 a.m.-8 p.m. | Public Swim

Sundays: Noon-1 p.m. | Season Pass Holders Early Entry & 1-5 p.m. | Public Swim

Due to current weather conditions, all splash pads and wading pools will be closed today for the safety of our visitors. As of now, the Lawton Aquatic Center is still open as scheduled, however staff is monitoring the weather conditions.

We appreciate your understanding and encourage everyone to stay weather-aware. Updates regarding reopening will be provided as conditions improve.
