Your Lawton-Bronson Cross Country Team is hitting the road for their State Qualifying Meet in Emmetsburg today! The meet will be held at Iowa Lakes Community College.

Race Times:
🕓 Girls – 4:00 PM
🕟 Boys – 4:40 PM

What a season these two had! Hannah finished 7th out of 147 junior high girls in class 1A and Wesley finished 11th out of 176 junior high boys in class 1A. Congratulations!

Congratulations to Natalie McKenna and Kaylee Mesz for earning all conference honors at the Western Valley Conference Cross Country meet this morning. Natalie placed 10th and Kaylee placed 14th. 8th grader Cohen Howard also earned all conference honors in the Junior High boys race placing 9th!

BIG day tomorrow for our Cross Country program with Hannah and Wesley heading to Ankeny for the middle school state meet with Coach Carlson and Coach Pedersen and I going to Onawa for the Western Valley Conference meet with the rest of the team! We are so fortunate to have enough coaches to be able to “divide and conquer”. Thank you Coach Pedersen for volunteering your time to help make LBXC what it is!

Tomorrow morning, the Lawton-Bronson Cross Country Team will head down to Onawa Golf Course for the Western Valley Conference Cross Country Meet!

Race Schedule:

High School Girls - 10:00 a.m.

High School Boys - 10:30 a.m.

Junior High Boys - 11:00 a.m.

Junior High Girls - 11:10 a.m.

A special good luck to our two Junior High runners who are heading to Ankeny this weekend to compete in the Iowa Junior High State Cross Country Meet!

Lawton-Bronson will be proudly represented by:
7th Grader – Hannah Baker
8th Grader – Wesley Benson

Both Hannah and Wesley have had incredible seasons!

Hannah has remained undefeated all year with a personal record (PR) of 11:53 .

Wesley has finished first in every meet but one, with a PR of 11:38 .

Race Times:

Hannah – 2:10 p.m.

Wesley – 2:35 p.m.

Let’s wish both runners the best of luck as they represent Lawton-Bronson at the state level!
