Last week, I was awarded the SkillsUSA Georgia Postsecondary Advisor of the Year GAPS2024! It is a great honor to serve our students at Gwinnett Technical College and the Technical College System of Georgia. Thanks to our State Director Tjazha Mazhani, Ed.D. for her leadership role with her team to have another successful conference. See you all at our SkillsUSA National Conference.

We had a great day today an hour toastmasters meeting. Many new faces and many returning faces. Thank you to all who participated. We absolutely love newcomers and look forward to seeing everyone again I don't next meeting on October 17th.

TWO more days until our last meeting for the summer! We are going to listen to campaign speeches, vote for the candidates of our choice, and install the newly elected officers for the 2019-2020 year. Plus, we will have popcorn, gift cards, and a special discount for our guests!

Thank you to everyone who attended and participated in our meeting today!

We had two great prepared speeches, an informative Q & A session on the best job interview practices, and intriguing Table Topics questions and speakers.

Congratulations to Allison Dooling and Lovely Chhibber for winning the Table Topics Contest!

Special thanks to Tamekia Taylor for demonstrating how to ace a job interview and for giving the audience actionable tips they can use to prepare for (and do well in) their next interview.

Additionally, thank you to Ronda Robinson for bringing ice cream cups for our members and guests to enjoy.
