25 putts for Poulter today, but just 69...putting REALLY saved his day. Normally these guys shoot putts + 40.

I hate "strokes gained putting."
I'd bet these recently invented stats are invented by a non-golfer.

How many putts/18 is all I want to know!

What a story!
Not even fine chipping & putting could save him from "full swing yips."
The year after he won $1.8million, he misses 25/29 cuts...
Who would have the courage, the tenacity, to even want to keep playing
after missing 25 cuts!
I'm guessing he didn't just want to play, he NEEDED to.
Teddy Roosevelt was the greatest believer in ALWAYS taking action.
Do something, now! If it's incorrect, do something else...always, Always, ALWAYS take action, now!
Well done Brandon Todd, no matter what happens today, you have already proven you can win on the PGA TOUR.

Bryson shot 65 today with 31 putts...that's crazy. Usually27-25 putts is needed to shoot 65. He didn't even "putt less than 29."
Bryson deChambeaux WILL break 60 by this time next year...maybe twice!

Just listen to the commentators gush about Jordan saving himself with his putter & short game, even while gulping with dismay at the mediocrity of his full swing game.

You...I'm talking to ALL Y'ALL out there...You can break through your resistance barrier in scoring by improving your putting & chipping game...& all y'all CAN improve your putting & chipping. Practice putting & chipping 5X more than your full swing.

If, however, your resistance barrier is 70...
You are a damn good putterer & chipperer & probably need the likes of Butch Harmon or any of the Golf Magazine top 100 teachers to coach you into the 60's.

Make the local par 3 course your favorite place this season...get golfing!

So I'm getting a little more time to play now. Very fine greens @ River Pines par 3 course near Johns Creek, GA. They have a special program for $59 annual membership, giving 40% discount on par 3 golf & 20% discount on range balls.
On top of that PGA TOUR SUPERSTORE has a special membership for unlimited use of indoor range with video & computer tracing.
$99 annual fee, on sale for less on certain holiday specials...Christmas, Dad's Day, etc...

JUSTIN ROSE...23 putts today.
22 on Thursday.
The PGA Tour standard is 40 shots plus putts is your score. 45 shots for Rosie today...& still he wimped out on a couple birdie putts...all those par saves.
EVERYONE, even you, will dramatically improve their scoring by concentrating on & working on putting & chipping.
Putt less than 29, your score will be fine.

Who doesn't enjoy David Feherty's interview program where his wit & humor have an aporopriate venue to be effectively deployed?
Loved the re-run of his Johnny Miller show airing in the middle of Rickie Fowler's wonderful 64 on Saturday...got a hwadache switching back & forth...
BUT...Johnny M. made a comment with which I emphatically disagree...that being that great driving always covers up poor putting...
Sorry Mr. Miller, that is simply NOT a matter of opinion...show me the statistics!
Perfect example...Rickie Fowler throwing away a 4 & 5 stroke lead with awful driving & still pulling it together just enough with wonderful, amazing putting. How many putts did Rickie have on Sunday? Rickie would have shot 80 on Sunday if not for his putting & a feww damn good chip shots.
Chipping & putting ladies & gentlemen will save poor ball striking every day!
AND...everyone can dramatically improve their chipping & putting with just a little practice at home, 10 minutes at a time, just a vouple times a week.
Get to it! Improve your handicap by 25% this season with a little chipping & putting practice at home or even during a break @ work!

How do you suppose Tiger got to this 54 hole lead @ FedExCup championship? Averaging 26 strokes/round with a 20 year old putter no less!
