ACSC Bylaws change clarification.

We have had a number of Members contact the Board of Directors with concerns about the Amendment to the Bylaws relating to caps on specific categories of Members.

LET ME BE ABSOLUTELY CLEAR, IF YOU CURRENTLY HAVE A MEMBERSHIP OF ANY KIND AND FOLLOW THE RENEWAL PROCESS, YOU WILL NOT LOSE YOUR MEMBERSHIP UNDER THE NEW BYLAWS.

We currently have approximately 90 persons who qualify for Senior Membershp. Senior membership is an OPTIONAL reduced fee Membership that is currently available to members over 70, and under the new proposed bylaws will be available to members over 65. The 200 limit in Senior Memberships is intended to protect the club from a financial crisis if the club gains a significant number of persons eligible for Senior membership in the future.

If the 200 Senior member limit is ever reached, the effect would be that members over 65 would have to remain annual members until a senior member slot becomes available. YOU WILL NOT LOSE YOUR MEMBERSHIP IF YOU TURN 65 AND NO SENIOR SLOT IS AVAILABLE, YOU WOULD SIMPLY RETAIN YOUR ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP UNTIL A SENIOR SLOT BECOMES AVAILABLE.

The ACSC Ladies want to thank the members of the club for their generosity. With your assistance, we were able to deliver the following supplies which will be distributed to classrooms and students throughout Anderson County:

85 post it pads
179 highlighters
196 dry erase markers
96 dry erase erasers
48 sharpie markers
19 bottles of hand sanitizer
12 sharpie pens
40 ballpoint pens
41 boxes of kleenex
47 rolls of paper towels
32 spiral notebooks
24 pencils
25 erasers
150 quart ziploc bags, and
240 gallon ziploc bags.

On Wednesday 08-05-2026 mowing on the rifle range will take place from 9am to 1pm.

Carbine match July 18th

Rifle range will be occupied by Silhouette match. So we will run Stages in Pits 1, 3 and 4 twice each respectively. Forwards / backwards.

Each Stage will be 7 targets. So 3 Pits x 2 Stages each x 7 targets will be total 42 targets.

Small or intermediate cartridges like 9mm, 5.56, .300, 7.62x39 will need 2 hits (IDPA scoring). Large cartridges like .308, 30-06 will need 1 hit. No hits by either will be +10s.

No mag capacity limit but 1 mandatory reload each Stage.

If we decide to cancel for weather we will post on FB by Friday night.

Good afternoon ACSC members. We have an archery match coming up this Saturday July the 11th. In preparation for this match we will be doing some target set up and range maint on Tuesday July 7 from 5 pm till about 8 pm. During this time the rifle range and silhouette range will be closed.

Good morning ACSC!!! This is the last day of the GSSF match. If you would like to participate come on out before 2 pm.
We also have an awesome silent auction going on to raise funds for our GSSF matches. Hope to see ya out there!!!
