New to Amtgard and not sure what to call your persona? Don't stress! Most of us didn't have everything figured out on day one.

Instead, ask yourself:
✨ Who would you be in a fantasy world?
⚔️ How would you solve problems?
🐺 What creature or symbol represents you?
📖 What kind of story do you want to tell?

Your persona doesn't have to be perfect—it just has to be yours. It'll grow with every event, quest, and campfire.

What a fantastic first park day!

Thank you to everyone who came out to help make the very first gathering of Emerald Pastures such a success. Whether you were brand new to Amtgard or have been playing for years, we're grateful you chose to spend your afternoon with us.

Today we fought, laughed, made new friends, and began building something special together.

These group photo marks the beginning of Emerald Pastures' story, and I can't wait to see how our community grows in the seasons ahead.

Our very first park day is this Sunday! We're getting excited to welcome everyone to Emerald Pastures!

If you're planning to join us, here's one fun thing you can think about before you arrive:

✨ What will your character be called? ✨

In Amtgard, players choose a persona name—a name that becomes part of their story within the game. It can be inspired by mythology, fantasy, history, nature, or something completely original.

Don't worry if you don't have one yet! Many players discover their name after meeting the community or playing for a while. There's no rush, and you can always change it later.

Whether you come with a fully developed character or simply with your curiosity, we'll help you get started.

We'll have loaner equipment, friendly faces, and everything you need for your first adventure.
