🌻 LEVEL 4: BALLET + TAP

Level 4 is designed for kids who are ready to build on their preschool dance experience or begin their dance journey in kindergarten and up.

In this one-hour combo class, dancers will:
🩰 Begin using the ballet barre this fall
✨ Learn foundational ballet steps and build strength
🤸 Practice cartwheels because every dancer (and kid) should know how to do a cartwheel
👞 Explore rhythm, musicality, and sound through tap
🎶 Finish with creative movement and plenty of fun

At Sunflower State Dance, our leveled classes focus on building strong foundations while keeping dance age appropriate, encouraging, and FUN.

We’ve got butterflies 🦋

I wanted to share a little update on our monarch Waystation. Monarch Watch
Some of our plants didn’t make it, so I will be replanting more especially milkweed. These gorgeous flowers are called sunshine daydream and commonly referred to as a perennial sunflower 🌻. Very fitting for the studio.

Back to school/dance season is so busy. Nice to stop and take in the glory of nature right outside our door.

We learn pre-ballet and tap skills which all translates to:
-balance and coordination
-rhythm which is essential for starting reading skills
-gross motor skill development
-classroom skills like taking turns and following directions

IT’S BACK! 🥳🥳🥳

Move and Groove with Me is our parent and tot class for ages 18months to 3.5.

This class is concept based, which means we learn through movement while playing with ideas like:
• big and small 🐘🐭
• fast and slow 🐇🐢
• forward, backward, up, down, and turning 🔄⬆️⬇️
We are building coordination, confidence, listening skills, and connection!

Mini Session Details:
