🌧️Due to recent heavy rains, the trails behind Sports Pavilion Lawrence extending to E 1000 Rd are temporarily closed. Crews have identified erosion, mud-covered paths, and damage to a bridge along the route.

Cleanup and repairs may take some time as we work to safely restore the area. We appreciate your patience and understanding while we address these issues.

Please avoid the closed trails and check back for updates. Thank you for helping us keep our parks safe! 🌿

⚽ Have you heard? The new indoor turf at SPL is now installed and OPEN to the public! Enjoy!

Starting Monday, Dec. 15, the turf at SPL will be taken offline, so it can be replaced. Installation of new turf will begin after the current turf is removed. It is estimated that the project will be completed by mid-January. We appreciate your patience during this time.

🏐 Ready to get your young athlete started in volleyball?
Check out our Volleyball Pre-Club Academy, offered in partnership with the Lawrence Landsharks Volleyball Club!

Designed for ages 6–11, this twice-a-week program focuses on building strong fundamentals, proper technique, and confidence on the court. Kids will learn skills they can practice at home and carry with them as they grow in the sport.
