Join LTC on Friday, September 18th for a casual social happy hour! 5pm at Lawrence B**r Company (East). Hang out and talk triathlon, then wander out to the street to enjoy their 9th Anniversary Street Party.

Open to members, family, friends, and those wanting to learn more about the club and triathlon in Lawrence!

And finally, in not-so-local racing, Pat took on USA Triathlon Age Group Nationals last weekend in Milwaukee in the 70-74 age group. It's been some time since he last raced due to a series of injuries and he reported back that he had a great time and realized just how much he's missed it. Congrats to Pat!!

Kill Creek Park Triathlon was the third and final race in the three weeks of back-to-back local races! Unfortunately, everything had to shift to a duathlon due to water conditions, but that didn't stop LTC!

First off, a big shout out to both Patrick and Kristen for volunteering! Volunteers are critical to keeping these events going.

* Rob finished with an age group win - going from 3rd to 2nd to 1st across all three races!
* Maribeth continued her streak of strong finishes with a 2nd place age group and top 10 overall.
* Lainey finished 9th in her age group
* JJ also finished 9th in his age group

Strong day all around!

Race #2 in the three weeks of back-to-back local races was Shawnee Mission Triathlon & Duathlon where we again had a strong LTC showing!

* Rob had a great day and took 2nd in his age group in the Olympic distance
* Kristen won her age group again and finished as 2nd overall female
* Tom did his first "real" race in awhile and took 2nd in the Short Course distance
* Maribeth won her age group again and finished 5th woman overall in the Short Course

And a bit thanks to Patrick for volunteering at the race and helping us earn points in the Club Challenge! We finished around 7th in the team challenge, which we can be quite proud of given the small size of our club compared to some of the KC groups!

We're finally catching back up after a VERY busy month of racing!! Time for a recap of results! (post #1 of 4)

First was Matt Mason Memorial Cowboy Up Triathlon at Smithville Lake where we had a great showing on the short course race!

* Cayman picked up a last-minute entry courtesy of another club member and used it well, winning the women's race!
* Kristen was right on her heels, winning her age group and taking 2nd female.
* Maribeth rounded out the top 5 for women and also won her age group.
* Rob also brought home some hardware, finishing 3rd in his age group.

What a great start to three weeks of back-to-back racing!

Due to this week's extreme heat warning and expected heat index of 110° at workout time, we are cancelling tomorrow's track workout.

Wednesdays at 6:30pm at West Middle School. Do the set workout with the group - or feel free to do your own. No RSVP needed - just show up!
