The Blue Jays played in the Hawaiian Hitfest this weekend and won two hard-fought comeback wins on Saturday, but failed to advance on Sunday losing to the eventual champs. More importantly, we developed. Even more importantly, we had a blast doing it! Great job this weekend, Blue Jays! League play resumes on Wednesday against the Emporia Reds.

The 14u Lawrence Blue Jays are in need of 2-3 players for their 2025 Spring season. We are in search of left side infield and pitchers, however everyone is encouraged to tryout. It’s been a couple of weeks so let’s recap. The Blue Jays played in the PG Monster Bash the weekend of September 28 and came away with a 2nd place finish. Didn’t play the greatest on Saturday with a couple of big letdowns but rallied for a deep Sunday run through the bracket. The boys were challenged to make a difference in each of their own efforts on Sunday and responded with some gritty play. Ran out of time in the final, but kept fighting and came up short. Showed a bunch of class and character. They will return to tournament play the weekend of October 12. In addition to their recent tournament success, the Blue Jays are also 4-0 in their fall league at Hoglund Park. Continuing to grow with each swing of the bat. I’m so very proud of their successes and their continued growth.
