On July 14, 2026, the LBNRD Board of Directors voted to enact changes to the Liberty Cove Recreation Area Rules and Regulations. The updated rules and definitions will provide more clarity and improve existing rules and regulations. These changes will take effect on August 14, 2026. A Summary of the rule changes is as follows:
• 01.10E1 – Liberty Cove, Bruning Dam, and Roseland Recreation Areas or portions thereof are open to hunting subject to NGPC rules and regulations, unless prohibited or restricted by appropriate signs or specific area regulations. Hunting is prohibited within two hundred 200 yards of any public-use facility or activity area, including picnic areas, campgrounds, private cabin and concession areas, boat ramps, and parking lots.
• 04.02E – Waterfowl hunting is prohibited.
