Happy Labor Day Paddlers! We had a great time on Mother Kaw Saturday. We missed the Super Blue Moon but our float, campfire, s'mores and chill time were spectacular! We hope that you had an opportunity to get out into nature over the holiday weekend. We are looking at dates for Fall paddle to catch the colorful foliage and cooler days. Keep an eye on our calendar for announcements. If you want to schedule a private float between now and November let us know!

Hey paddlers! Looks like it's going to be a beautiful day out on the Kaw. If you've never considered a private float with us on the Kaw and are interested in your own group enjoying everything that the Kansas River has to offer. Give us a shout. Our next scheduled float is September 2nd. A blue supermoon flow. It's going to be great! Join us if you can. We have a few spots left. Open. Whatever you are doing today we hope that you get outside and enjoy nature. The weather's cooling off and time to get your feet and some grass, sand or water!

Hey Paddlers! July was a great month for floating the Kaw. Paddling groups ranged from family outings to a grad school group from KU. For the floats that we had to cancel this last month for weather issues we hope to get them out on the water before the season is done. We have some floats coming up in Aug and a Blue Supermoon Sunset float on September 2nd. If there is nothing on the UAC calendar that works for you please contact us if you are interested in a private float. Be well friends and hope see you on the Kaw soon.

Blue is ready for our dog days of summer float this Saturday July 22! Weather and flow rate of mother Kaw look to be fantastic for the day starting at 11 am. UAC had the Blick Family out for a private float Saturday. (Happy Birthday Becky) The weather was forecast for thunderstorm storms but we decided to go for it anyway. It turned out to be a day of beautiful clouds, sandbars, water flow, s'mores and people! We didn't spot any eagles this load trip but we did see a very large flock of white pelicans. It was another great day out on Mother Kaw!

Hey Paddlers! Our Fox and Friends Float was such a great time this weekend! Sunny skies, calm breeze and the recent rains made the Kaw perfectly floatable as we pulled downstream to Rising Sun boat ramp. The eagles were out and one let us float underneath her. We even found a turtle that allowed us to take a picture of it pristine and perfect shell. We hope that you can join us soon! Although our next scheduled float on May 27 is sold out please look at our calendar www.upacreek.biz and schedule your time for a Kaw Float soon!

You never know when you'll need an umbrella when paddling and today might be one of those days! Although it's raining out on the Kaw today this Saturday'a forecast is for 84°, sunshine and light wind. Join us for our Fox and Friends float this Saturday afternoon 1 pm to 5 pm to enjoy a spring day float out on the Kansas River.

We had a great float on saturday! The temperature hit 95 and we all got a bit of a burn but it was so working. Beautiful skies, sandbars and the water flow was really nice. We're putting together an impromptu float this saturday. We'll see what the weather does. We also added several floats to the calendar at upacreek.biz . We even put on some of those marvelous sunset floats. Buzzes to let us know if we can get you out on the water soon!

Paddlers! This Saturday we're having our first UAC float of the 2023 season. The weather is forecast to be 83° for the day and the flow rate is scheduled to be 2000 cfs. It should make for a great day to be on the Kaw! We have a few spots left if you want to join in!

Hey paddlers! Blue 💙 and UAC were in the April issue of Lawrence City Lifestyle magazine! It was a great article about the UAC origins story and showing some great pics of Blue and Mother Kaw.
