🏆 Huge Congratulations to Our Home Teams! 🏆

A massive shoutout to the USJ Sport Shooting Team and the South Gibson County Shooting Sports Team for an outstanding showing at the 2026 TNSCTP Region One Championship tournament! Both teams proudly represented Southgate Gun Club and absolutely crushed it on the field.

Here is a summary of their incredible achievements

🎯 USJ Sport Shooting Highlights
The Bruins delivered a powerhouse performance, bringing home 27 medals, 5 team trophies, and 2 High Overall (HOA) awards!

Sporting Clays: The team of Trace Hayes, Skylar Stanfield, and Noah White took the Intermediate Team Championship. Individual top spots went to Skylar Stanfield (1st Place Ladies Intermediate Advanced).

Trap: Securing multiple podium finishes, including 1st place wins for Crew Dennison (Men's Rookie), Sutton Anderson (Men's Intermediate Entry), Skylar Stanfield (Ladies Intermediate Advanced), and Brody Ross (Men's Junior Varsity). Both the Intermediate and Varsity teams secured 3rd place finishes.

S***t: Trace Hayes (1st Place Men's Intermediate Advanced) and Skylar Stanfield (1st Place Ladies Intermediate Advanced) led the pack, while the Intermediate Team earned Runner-Up honors.

HOA Champions: Skylar Stanfield was named Intermediate Ladies Champion and Trace Hayes took home Intermediate Men's Champion.

🎯 South Gibson County (SGC) Highlights
SGC put up fierce competition and standard-setting scores!

Sporting Clays & American Trap: Gabriel Mitchell dominated the collegiate division, taking 1st place in Collegiate Male Sporting Clays and 2nd place in Collegiate Male American Trap. Sofia Piazza secured a fantastic 3rd place finish in Varsity Female American Trap.

American S***t: Lilly Flowers won 1st place in Varsity Female. She also teamed up with Hunter Harris and Hunter Townsend to capture the 1st place Varsity Team title!

HOA Varsity Team: The Varsity team is currently tied for HOA Runner-Up with an incredible score of 998/1100. Due to weather, their official shoot-off has been postponed and will be settled at the State Championship!

Good luck to all of our athletes as they advance to the TN SCTP State Championship! Southgate Gun Club is incredibly proud of your hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship. Bring home the gold! 🥇🎉

🏆 Incredible Shooting at the Briley Blue Goose! 🏆

Huge congratulations are in order for Southgate members Owen and Ethan Ballentine for their phenomenal performances over the weekend at the Greater Houston Gun Club! Facing tough competition (and some relentless rain), these two absolutely crushed it.

🥇 Owen Ballentine – 20ga HOA Champion
Owen put on a clinic in resilience, battling it out through a long, grueling shoot-off in and out of the rain to secure the 20ga HOA Champion title!

🥇 Ethan Ballentine – Sub Junior Sweep
Ethan absolutely dominated the field, putting up staggering numbers and taking home 1st Place in every single gauge for the Sub Junior category!

Bringing home a combined 789 out of 800 targets, two perfect 100s, and a hard-fought shoot-off victory is no small feat. Southgate is incredibly proud to have Owen and Ethan representing us on the hard targets.
