Not only did we have two teams from Paris win state titles, we had two teams play on fields side by side, in championship games at the exact same time. Two stands cheering “LET’S GO PARIS” in unison for two different games was something really special.
As the 9U ended their game and were announced WORLD SERIES CHAMPS, the 11U stands went wild nearly pausing our own game. And the very second the umpire called “ballgame!”, 9U players rushed our field.
This is something I don’t know that we will ever see again, and we are so glad to have been a part of it.
