Lucas Montgomery Signs with Southeastern Baptist College

Sardis High School standout Lucas Montgomery has officially signed to continue his basketball career with the Chargers of Southeastern Baptist College. The 6-foot-2 shooting guard brings a proven scoring touch and strong all-around game to the program. Southeastern Baptist College competes as the Chargers and sponsors men’s basketball.

Montgomery averaged 19.5 points per game, 5.9 rebounds per game, and shot 43% from the field during his high school career at Sardis. He also achieved membership in the prestigious 1,000-Point Club, highlighting his consistency and impact as a scorer.

With his ability to score from multiple levels, rebound effectively from the guard position, and provide leadership on the court, Montgomery is expected to be a valuable addition to the Chargers’ basketball program as he begins the next chapter of his athletic and academic journey.

DJ Spencer Signs with Southeastern Baptist College

Southeastern Baptist College has added another talented guard to its roster with the signing of DJ Spencer, a 6'0" shooting guard from Starkville Academy.

Spencer averaged 11.4 points, 5 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game, while shooting 73.3% from the free-throw line and 34.5% from three-point range. His season was highlighted by a 24-point performance against Simpson, showcasing his ability to take over games offensively.

A versatile backcourt player, Spencer earned Honorable Mention All-District honors for his contributions on both ends of the floor. His combination of scoring, rebounding, playmaking, and perimeter shooting makes him a valuable addition to the Chargers' roster.

With his competitiveness and well-rounded skill set, Spencer is expected to provide immediate depth and energy to the Southeastern Baptist College backcourt as he begins his collegiate basketball career.

Southeastern Baptist College Men’s Basketball Welcomes Caleb Ford

Southeastern Baptist College is excited to announce the commitment of Caleb Ford from Rossville Christian Academy.

The 6’3” shooting guard brings an impressive resume to the Chargers program. During his high school career, Ford averaged 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists per game, showcasing his ability to impact the game in multiple ways.

His accomplishments include:

* 3× All-District Selection
* 2× All-North State Selection
* 2× All-State Selection
* MAIS All-Star Game Invitee
* 2× Offensive Player of the Year
* Member of the 1,000-Point Club

Known for his scoring ability, versatility, and leadership, Ford has established himself as one of the top players in the MAIS ranks. His competitive spirit and all-around game will make him a valuable addition to the Southeastern Baptist College basketball program.
