Learn the basics of this unique Japanese Martial Art that teach how to remain calm and focused while improving readiness, fitness and relieving stress. Offered as an introductory course, students will learn effective self-protection techniques of Traditional Aikido as taught at Agatsu Dojos which are based on the redirection of force without aggression or competition. December 14th is the birthdate of O'Sensei Morihei Usheiba, founder of Aikido. As we continue to confront the pandemic, his words resonate even more strongly. Typically, we, along with many at Aikido Agatsu Dojos, mark the date with a commemorative training. This year is different as threats endured by the pandemic impact our ability to gather as a dojo community. Yet, the tradition persists. Dojo-Cho, R. Crane and K. Crane Senseis trained purposefully today--connecting us to our past and furthering the legacy of O'Sensei.
