We're nominating our husband, dad, and captain, Clay, for .
The funny thing is, searching through the files we haven't found too many epic photos of him. He's usually behind the camera, documenting the stoke of everyone else.
Many years ago, put his own dreams on the sidelines to raise four boys to become watermen. He believed that if he wanted to teach them a life connected to the ocean, he had to immerse them in it. So he moved our family across the world to the South Pacific.
Not because it was easy.
Not because it was comfortable.
Because out here, being salty isn't a hobby. It's a way of life.
He creatively found ways to work, took risks, left certainty behind, and built a life where our boys learn respect for the ocean, fishing, surfing, sailing, hard work, resilience, and adventure every single day.
If you really want to know whether a dad is rad, don't look at the dad. Look at his kids. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
Today, those four boys are growing into the kind of young watermen that make us incredibly proud. Not because of trophies or followers, but because of the values their dad lives every day.
Clay grew up looking up to the Hobgood brothers(salty crew founders), fellow Brevard County legends. He never imagined one day he'd be raising his own crew of salty kids on the other side of the world.

Is Clay a Rad Dad or what?
