The Capital District Wrestling Officials Association is seeking individuals interested in officiating scholastic wrestling for the 2026-27 season. Getting started is easy. Sports Illustrated unleashed their first set of 2026-2027 Women's Polls (Seniors removed)....

And we're tickled pink by the 21 young ladies that earned themselves recognition on Thursday evening!!!

1) SEVEN new faces find themselves on the list as 𝑨𝒎𝒚 𝑲𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝑬𝒓𝒊𝒌𝒔𝒐𝒏 (5-2 in Fargo) and 𝑪𝒆𝒄𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒂 𝑽𝒆𝒓𝒓𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒊 (BR in Fargo) raised NY's sum to four top-30 130-pounders by occupying the #28 and #30 slots....2026 State Champion, 𝑨𝒎𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒂 𝑻𝒐𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒚 (2-2 in Fargo)/𝑴𝒂𝒌𝒆𝒏𝒛𝒊𝒆 𝑯𝒂𝒓𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒓 (Fargo BR) debut at 25th/27th among 145 pounders to give the Empire another four spot.... & 𝑮𝒂𝒃𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒂 𝑭𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒌𝒊𝒂𝒏 (3-2 in Fargo), 𝑲𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒍𝒚𝒏 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒈, and 𝑲𝒆𝒊𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒂 𝑻𝒖𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒄𝒉 land as Honorable Mention selections at 130, 155, and 170 respectively!!

Great week of training at Hammer Wrestling Club Camp! 💪

A huge thank you to Jaxon Joy , Carter Baer , Massoma Endene , and Nico Rivera for spending the week with our athletes and sharing some of the techniques that have made you successful. Our wrestlers learned from some of the best and are walking away better because of it.

The work doesn’t stop here… Winter is coming. ❄️

Let’s go Ava! So proud of you ⚒️🤘

𝑨𝑽𝑨 𝑮𝑹𝑬𝑮𝑮 Is the future of NYS upper-weights!!!

Losing to the top-seed/Returning Fargo 16U Bronze Medalist, 𝐋𝐲𝐥𝐚 𝐇𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐧, (also a 2x 16U Folk All-American/2025 Champion), to commence her Dome debut....

The 2x NYSPHSAA Placer/Bronze in '26 for Shaker Bison Nation went on a run of five straight wins, including marquee wins on Saturday against Colorado's 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞 (2026 State 6th; 2026 U.S. Open Women's Girls Showcase 7th) & SI #15 in the nation, 𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐊𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐞 (2026 Wisconsin State Runner-up; 2026 USAW 16U Folk National Champion)!!

If there is such a thing as an "impressive loss"; it happened in her encore performance when she led consensus top-10 ranked ( #6 SI, #10 MS), 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐳𝐢𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐭 (2x State Medalist/2026 Champion; 2026 U.S. Open Girls Showcase Runner), before unfortunately surrendering a TD in the final :40 of regulation to lose on criteria!!

Drawing the comparison by us to 2x State Champion/3x Fargo AA, 𝐏𝐞𝐲𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧; it should be noted that Gregg's placement in her introduction to Fargo was two spots higher than the Dundee standout notched in 2024 as a first-year Cadet!
