Hello Executive Board and Frontier Little League,
We’ll it has been quite the run for this great league these past 61years! We’ve won several State Championships and have had some great ball players and families along the way.
We have watched our young players grow into great ball players as well as start some lifetime friendships throughout the league(s). Unfortunately there has been a 5 schools that have closed in our boundaries and that has really impacted our league.
2 elementary schools and 3 middle schools really put our league in a bind along with Little League’s rule stating “if your child goes to school in a different district, you can play for that district”.
With all this being said and our numbers crashing down below 100 total players this past season. We as the Executive Board for Frontier Little League have taken a vote on dissolving the league. The vote passed 7 to 3 in favor of dissolving the league.
I know we have parents and a few volunteers who have promoted getting more people to volunteer but it has come time to pass the keys over to District 5 Little League.
Dist. 5 will be working on dividing the boundaries between Canyon View and Sabino Canyon Little League. All players that have registered and paid will be sent a check by no later than next week.
Please keep an eye on the website for updates on the new boundary lines to see where your kids will be playing.
It has been my honor to be the President of Frontier Little league for these past 2 years. I can’t express it enough how fun this has been and to be a part of. It has been a tremendous amount of work and I am saddened to see the league go but overall this will be great for the kids as they will have a lot more kids to play with, meet, and learn from.
P.s. A league is only as strong as its volunteers.
To all Ball Players and Families, Play Hard and Have Fun!
